I have made purple sweet potato preparations several times with the help of my wife. And because there are still boiled purple sweet potatoes available, I will process them into a delicious pudding. I often eat it, but the one who makes it is my wife, not me, and now I will make it with my own hands because my wife says making pudding is the easiest job, the important thing is that we don't need to use too much water. The tip is to follow the rules on the agar powder packet. If we want the pudding to taste harder then we will use a smaller amount of water than the normal amount recommended by the instructions for use on the jelly packet, but if we want our pudding to be softer then we will just use the amount on the packet, and much safer in my opinion.
My wife said that the downside is that if we use the instructions on the gelatin wrapper, the hardened pudding will be a little watery and the texture when removed from the mold will sometimes not be perfect and that's all based on her experience while making pudding. And to make our pudding not runny later, add just a little cornstarch, approximately ½ tablespoon, this will make the pudding have a chewier texture, but when you eat it, the pudding will feel softer.
The ingredients needed to make this pudding are:
- 1 packet of colorless gelatin powder
- 5 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to your taste)
- 1 pack of instant coconut milk measuring 65 ML
- ½ tablespoon cornstarch
- 300 ML water
- 250 grams of boiled purple sweet potato
How to make :
1. Boiled purple sweet potatoes are crushed until soft
2. Once soft, add the colorless gelatin powder
3. Then add ½ tablespoon of cornstarch
4. After that, add granulated sugar
5. Then instant coconut milk
6. And finally water
7. Stir until smooth and there are no lumps in the purple sweet potato
8. After that, cook until boiling over medium heat
9. After boiling, put it into the mold.
10. Wait for it to cool and harden for approximately 2 hours
11. After that, remove it from the mold.
To make this pudding, you don't need to be afraid of failure and it's up to you to add the ingredients. The important thing when cooking is to keep stirring, don't leave it alone because the mixture at the bottom will burn.
