Hello Vegan Lovers....
I like the taste of spicy dishes, every day I will eat spicy dishes, that's why I really like various kinds of chili sauce. If I eat without chili sauce, it seems that something is missing in my diet. Today I will share a recipe for how to make apple sauce which tastes spicy, sour and fresh.
This apple sauce, which has a spicy, sour and fresh taste, is very suitable to be enjoyed with various fried foods. This apple chili sauce can be used as a dip for fried snacks and can also be used as chili sauce to accompany meals. I'm going to enjoy this fresh apple sauce with warm rice and fried tempeh.
To make this apple sauce, we can use any type of apple, the most important thing is that the apples we use to make the chili sauce are apples that have a sour taste, the more sour the taste of the apples, the better. If we use green apples, the taste of the chili sauce will be more fresh, but because there are no green apples, I use another type of apple, the most important thing is that the taste of the apple is slightly sour.
Apple sauce has a fresh taste because it is made from fresh raw ingredients without being processed into food. To add to the freshness of the chili sauce, I use tamarind. Tamarind is usually used as an additional ingredient to make various dishes fresher.Tamarind must be soaked in hot/warm water, so the sour taste is stronger.
The ingredients
The ingredients used to make applesauce are:
20 pieces of fresh green chilies
5 pieces of cayenne pepper
3 pieces of garlic
3 pieces of red onion
1 apple
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of tamarind
50 mL of hot water
How to make
1.Add the tamarind into the hot water, stir with a spoon, separate the tamarind seeds. Leave it for a moment.
2.Peel the skin of the garlic and red onion.
3.Discard the cayenne pepper and green chilies. If you like a spicier taste, you can add more cayenne pepper.
4.Wash cayenne pepper, green chilies, garlic, red onion and apples.
5.Grind green chilies, cayenne pepper, garlic, red onion, salt and sugar. I still use a mortar and pestle, because the chili tastes better when pounded with a mortar and pestle. If we puree with a blender, the taste of the chili sauce will not be the same.
6.After the seasoning is smooth, then grate the apple, mix it into the chili sauce that has been smooth. So that the apples are not brown, after the apples have been grated, they are immediately mixed with the fine chili sauce.
7.Place the chili sauce into the bowl, then pour the tamarind water into the bowl, stir until evenly distributed.
Serving method
Serve with warm rice and fried tempeh.
Enjoy trying this fresh apple sauce recipe.
