This afternoon I just harvested kale from the garden, I planted this kale organically without any fertilizer, only using water to water the kale plants every afternoon. I am very happy to be able to harvest kale that I grow myself and most importantly I don't have to worry about the factory fertilizers that are usually used by farmers to grow kale.
I will process this kale into a salad, I will combine fresh kale with white tofu. Then I will make peanut sauce as the topping. I only use simple ingredients but the taste is rich. I'm going to combine the crunchy taste of peanuts with red chilies, the seasoning is similar to peanut sauce for pecal salad, but to make white tofu salad with kale, I use lighter spices and a fresher taste.
To keep the kale fresh, I'll only boil it until the kale is wilted, I'll just boil it for about 1 minute. I also use raw sprouts to add freshness to this salad.
Ingredients
I will make a white tofu and kale salad for three servings, the ingredients I use are :
15 pieces of white tofu
1 bunch of kale
100 grams of sprouts
100 grams of peanuts (I buy peanuts that have peeled the skin)
3 pieces of garlic
3 pieces of red onion
70 gram of red chilies
1 tablespoons of salt
500 mL of hot water
1 lime
200 mL of cooking oil
1,5 liter of water to boil the kale
Preparation
1.Peel the skin of the garlic, shallots and remove the red chili stalks.
2.Clean the garlic, shallots, red chilies and peanuts.
3.Then drain the garlic, shallots, red chilies and peanuts, drain until the water content runs out, so they don't explode when fried.
4.Wash the kale with running water.
5.Wash the sprouts clean, because we will serve the sprouts raw, make sure there are no caterpillars on the sprouts.
How to make
1.Boil water until it boils
2.Put the kale into the boiling water, boil the kale until wilted, just one minute,then drain to reduce the water content.
3.Next I will process the white tofu. Heat the cooking oil.
5.Put the white tofu into the hot oil, then fry until brown, after the tofu is browned, remove and drain.
6.Fry peanuts, garlic, shallots and red chilies, fry until wilted, about 3 minute.
7.Put in the blender the fried peanuts, garlic, shallots and red chilies,
8.Add salt.
9.Add hot water.
10.It's time to smooth all the ingredients, blender until all the ingredients are smooth.
Serving method
Now I have fried tofu, boiled kale, fresh sprouts and spicy peanut sauce. I will mix all the ingredients.
First arrange the fried tofu on a serving plate.
Then add the boiled kale over the fried tofu.
Also add fresh sprouts.
Finally, pour the spicy and savory sauce into the salad ingredients.
Also add the lime juice for a fresher salad taste.
The result
Tofu salad with a spicy, savory and fresh sour taste is ready to be served.
