I am almost certain that the ruler of the Principality of Monaco, Prince Rainier III, if he had lived in our age, the man of modern ideas that he was, who made Monaco what it is today, the luxurious and richest country in the world, would have entered the world of crypto investments.
Maybe he would have heard about Hive and the #Hivecollectors community where he would present his collections...
But since Prince Rainier III is no longer alive, here I am, on his behalf, to share with you the most interesting collection of vintage cars I have seen with my own eyes.
The car collection is not mine, but all the photos I will present here are.
I enjoyed looking at the collection, so I hope that I will be able to convey a part of that collection to you with photos.
I have already written about this complex and presented a part of the collection related to the Formula 1 race held in Monaco.
And now I will present you the second part of the collection, old, luxury cars and some supercars.
Rainier III kept his cars in the prince's palace on Rock.
And in July 2022, his successor, Prince Albert II of Monaco, exhibited the collection in a modern facility in Port Hercule, right next to the street where the Formula 1 race is run.
Collection de Voitures de S.A.S. le Prince de Monaco
The ticket is not expensive (only 15e) and it is the best investment of 15e I made that day.
In this collection there are some interesting examples from the beginning of the automobile industry, a motorcycle and a "car" with a propeller.
There are several examples of princely carriages from the end of the 19th century.
And then the collection of old luxury cars starts.
For some models, I tried to take a photo of the plate with information about the model, but in order to lose the most important thing from the frame, the cars themselves, I took pictures of the plates separately, and then added them to the photos of the car.
Except for the ones where not 🙂 and where I arranged them collectively, in order to give you the opportunity to connect them, you are a fan of collector cars.
I visited dozens of cars in detail and took pictures (those great and beautiful details), before I came across the master of automotive elegance R&R.
I have never seen so many Rolls Royce cars in one place.
There are also Citroens, Renaults and Peugeots, as well as some models from America, cars that were driven by members of the princely family and various diplomats who visited Monaco.
In any case, everywhere you turn, arranged by age, there is a succession of beauties on 4 wheels.
From the era of old cars, the lineup moves to newer, civic models, as well as sports models.
Since Prince Rainier III himself was a racing driver, it is clear where his love for cars comes from.
We have passed the era of the seventies of the last century, when super cars appeared.
I rarely had the opportunity to see such great examples of supercars that were constructed only for racing tracks, while Porsches, Lamborghinis and Ferraris are my contemporaries, which I may have seen live somewhere. If not on the streets, then at some fairs or supercar shows.
Maserati, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes, Ferrari... They are all the stars of this setting.
There are also some slightly newer cars from various Rally races.
And as I headed for the exit, I came across three really beautiful Ferrari cars, which made it very difficult to get out of this setting and complete the tour of Rainier III's car collection in Monaco.
I thought of not posting this collection yet, because I wanted to wait for the May theme for #HiveCollector, however, as wrote yesterday in her post about HODAlicante, that the first next theme will be June, I decided to write now, in the middle of May, and bring you this beautiful collection.
I hope you enjoyed my photo tour through the world of cars.
And I hope you have chosen a car to your liking from this great collection.
I chose this one, to go to the market on Sunday 😉
