Almost two years ago, I wrote a post about a not-so-girly collection of items that I kept postponing, almost fearing it would attract mixed reactions or some kind of judgment because it revolved around collecting weapons.
Funny enough, none of that happened. Instead, it gathered a lot of comments that genuinely made my day whenever I went back to the comment section to reply to each one. Back then, I was happy for two reasons: first, because I managed to put together the small collection you see in the image below, alongside my boyfriend, who shares the same passion, and second, because that post helped me connect with more people here who share the same interest.
This image was actually the featured image for my post, which you can view by clicking here to see each weapon individually, since I’d like to keep the current post focused solely on the new additions only.
If you look closely at the picture above, you’ll notice that two of the weapons from the original collection are missing in the updated one. The reason is that they were gifted to my father, although I would love to have them back for our collection as well.
This is how our little collection currently looks. Along with the new knives and pistol, we also invested in two holders to display them more beautifully, rather than having them look like they were just tossed randomly on a shelf, lol.
I. CZ75 SP-01 Shadow - Spring Pistol
The weapon we currently consider the star of our little collection is the CZ75 SP-01 Shadow - Spring Pistol, which also received its own separate post that you can check out here, where I tested it, also being my first time ever pulling a trigger. Don't worry, it's an airsoft pistol.
I still feel like this one is quite lonely alongside all the knives we have, so we might as well get one or two more pistols as our next purchases instead of adding more blades, since we already have quite a few. Of course, we still have plenty of similar items on our wishlists, so it’s really just a matter of time and money before we decide on the order and make our next purchases with this goal in mind.
II. Butterfly Knife
The next addition to our collection is a Butterfly Knife, which was one of the two I planned to purchase shortly after my previous post. Like most of the knives we own, we first saw this one while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, my boyfriend actually owning it in-game, so we thought it would be cool to have a real one, even though it’s more of a decorative piece and quite impossible to actually use IRL.
This type of folding pocket knife originated in the Philippines and was traditionally used as a small self-defence weapon that could be carried in a pocket just in case it was needed. Today, however, it’s considered illegal or restricted to own in many parts of the world.
III. Brass Knuckle
The third addition to our collection, and also the second weapon I had planned to purchase after my previous post, is a brass knuckle. It’s neither a pistol nor a knife, but a very powerful and dangerous melee weapon that can also serve as a self-defence item.
Its design is meant to be worn around the knuckles of the hand. Despite the name, the material used is often steel, aluminium, plastic, or carbon fibre, and not necessarily brass. Even so, using one in a fight can result in increased tissue damage, including a higher likelihood of fracturing the target’s bones upon impact. For this reason, it’s considered a controversial weapon, often associated with organised crime, and is illegal to own or use in a number of countries.
IV. Italian Stiletto Knife
Next up, we have another knife we first discovered while playing CSGO/CS2, but which we had also seen in the weapon collection owned by my boyfriend’s father, who is equally passionate about this hobby.
Although the knife originated in Italy in the early 20th century, the stiletto quickly became popular thanks to its slim, symmetrical blade and unmistakable snap‑open mechanism. It’s a knife more commonly associated with intimidation rather than actual self-defence, and it’s often encountered in video games. In reality, the wounds it can cause are more piercing than slicing, rather than creating large or severe cuts. Being more of a cultural artefact than a practical weapon (although it can still serve that purpose), it’s legal to own in most European and American countries.
V. Kandar N380 Knife (Wolf Edition)
Last but not least, the newest addition to our collection is a Kandar N380 Knife, which comes in several editions, such as Wolf (the one I own), Bear, or Reindeer, to name a few. Since I’ve used “wolfie” as my game tag for years, it made perfect sense to get the Wolf edition, which is now also my favorite knife in our little collection.
The Kandar N380 Knife is a small, handy folding knife that works well both at home and on hunting or bushcraft outings. Some of the features I absolutely love about this outdoor knife include the strong and stable liner lock, which prevents accidental folding during use, the belt-cutting blade, and the glass breaker located at the bottom of the handle. It also has a clip on the opposite side, making it much safer to carry in a pocket or backpack without the risk of it falling out.
Even though it took us nearly two years to add these five new items to our collection, we’re really excited to own each of them and can’t wait to expand it even further when we decide on our next purchases, though the current economic situation is pretty serious, forcing us to be more careful with our spending.
So... that’s pretty much it! I hope you enjoy seeing these, and if you have a favorite or own one yourself, let me know in the comments. I’d love a few more ideas for what to get next. 😉
