We had been missing seeing this activity resume in our town for a long time. To be honest, I had lost the desire to go out and see the Christmas lights; lately, they had very little sense of belonging and were discouraging rather than encouraging. However, I must admit that as this year has gone by, things have regained some of that sense of belonging that was being lost.
There is still a long way to go, but this year, the Christmas lights were considerably better. We shared the experience as a family, with my “quartet of love” and my mother-in-law.
We enjoyed a relaxing time, I forgot about my household chores for a moment, we shared together and met up with some relatives and friends.
We took advantage of the opportunity to take the children to some electric attractions, which I hadn't seen here in town for a long time. And well, we finally returned home, unable to enjoy the band “Criollo house” that was performing that day, because the children were sleepy.
We live in Temblador, a town in the south of Monagas state, Venezuela. And I remember perfectly well that there was a time when there were only decorations in one square, sad, shabby decorations with few lights. This year, I recognize that we are making an effort. We could do more, but for this year, the beauty of our little town is appreciated.
Now we need to visit all the squares in Temblador to show you all the beautiful things that the Christmas lights highlight.
See you soon, and thank you for reading.
