A cool post arrived at the Hive Collectors community five days ago. Obviously, each post is cool in its own way, I appreciate all those who use this community to show some of their collections or participate in monthly initiatives, which btw this month is Fridge Magnets and for July... there is already one idea that I got from a fellow Hiver, but you will see it in one week. Until then I decided to make a little post inspired by that cool post of that cool guy I mentioned in my first sentence. I mean, I don't know him in person but those qualities of his are already determined in his Hive username - Cool-MidWest-Guy! () π
In my comment to his post, I already said that I don't have a collection of hats or caps. And I don't usually wear them, just occasionally. I would say only in special or extreme situations. For example, if I decided to go ice skating on the icy plateau in eastern Antarctica I would need this kind of outfit, with a warm hat + hood, and sunglasses because of the snow and ice.
It is indeed the coldest place on Earth, I have checked it. And it can be fine and bearable if you are well prepared... but the crazy thing is that I took this photo today, at home... without the intention of going there π. What Hive does to us! π
I didn't last long in that winter jacket and furry hat. I changed the garment on my head for another one. This is already a slightly more elegant version of me, with a hat that kept me company at some performances. Playing the piano, of course.
Now, this is another extreme - when the heat hits. Then you also should wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun, but in that case a white, straw hat would be better. This photo represents a bit younger version of mipiano, exploring for the first time the streets of the picturesque village Guadalest.
And, that is all from mipiano wearing hats. π
However, I will show a few more hats but they are in the possession of my son and husband.
Hats off to those who can take some nice photos of a collection of hats!! I only managed to place them in the shape of a seven-pointed star to make a slightly more interesting composition. I didn't have a better idea. π€·ββ
This hat is quite a useful one, for fishermen. It protects also the neck from the sun while the one who is fishing focuses just on the fishing rods. From the condition of the hat, it can be seen that my husband used it often (in the past when there was more time to go fishing) but I can't say that it helped him to catch more fish.
This hat is also suitable for colder temperatures, but certainly, not for extremely cold places like the icy plateau in eastern Antarctica. Still, I think this hat was not used at all this winter. The hat just slept in one drawer for a long time, until I used it today for this little collection post.
Will you have to wear a hat today, to protect yourself from cold/heat or for fashion? Do you have a collection of hats? What a question... neither I had one, but I made a post about it. π
