A few weeks ago I got the idea of sharing with you my collection of Christmas cards and doing a small initiative for all of you who want to participate. To inspire you and share in this small community your collection of Christmas cards that you have obtained over the years or, in case you don't have them, share the collections of items that you use to decorate your home for the upcoming holidays. So that your home shines in this Christmas atmosphere and participate in the fun.
I am aware that there are people who do not celebrate Christmas, for religious, social or personal reasons. I am also aware that there are great differences in the traditions and customs of each country. Furthermore, some people simply do not have Christmas decorations or cards and prefer to steal Christmas skip this holiday. It is fine. Don't worry, we will have some new initiatives in the coming months, so maybe you will find inspiration in other topics. We are all collectors of something, the thing is that we may not be aware of it. ;)
December made me experience different moods and stages that I went through. That happens to me many times, during the last month of the year. Also, what always happens is that my students, family and friends want to give me a gift. And since Hive became a part of my life, Hive friends are included in this close circle of people. Last week I got a real surprise that the postman brought. Some Hivers sent me a really nice Christmas card, to add to my collection, wished me to be lazy and do nothing and a little package of cookies!
Unfortunately, the package got a bit damaged. Although it was very well packed and wrapped the angel and the star broke... {sad face emoji}
However, the little whale (is it a subliminal message? 😂) and the heart are intact, and I will have a hard time destroying them at the moment I want to eat them. They are very, very tasty. Thank you, dear Hive Santa!
My husband's uncle sent us a Christmas card from Germany, from the city where he lives. It is written in the Hungarian language. And maybe you can notice a card with many little Santas, playing with the ornaments and tinsels? That one was sent by a friend of mine who lives in Vienna and she also wrote in Hungarian.
One of my friends from the university wrote her card using Cyrillic letters, and there is even a little drawing 😁. A little rabbit sending us three hearts. Under that one, there is a short message from a student and his family, wishing us happy holidays. Hive users who speak Spanish can understand that one.
A dear student, Alejandro, brought me a super cool Christmas card. A silhouette of a deer, full of golden and silver little stars that move as you move the card. So cool, I am in love with this Christmas card! 😍
He also brought me some gifts, a box of chocolate and a bottle of wine. What is interesting about this wine is its name. Bach. We can say it is a perfect match for a musician.
Actually, during the whole last week, I was receiving little gifts. Mainly chocolate and sweets. I have two options now - eat all of them and gain extra weight or... no, there is no other option 😂. Wish me luck later with a diet!
It is not just that box of Ferrero Rocher.
No.
The amount of sweets can be measured in bags. There is also a Christmas flower and a jewellery box that is now part of my gift collection. As it clearly became a collection! Even my Christmas tree which disappeared with my magic a few days ago came back to celebrate this event of bringing home the gifts.
Christmas is here, around the corner. My Christmas card collection has grown a bit as you can see. The gifts are here just temporarily as they will be consumed. ;)
Let me know if you have received some cards, gifts or messages for this holiday and if they can be considered a collection now. Or maybe you managed to open some forgotten old boxes that contain Christmas cards received many years ago? You are still in time to bring them and make a smile appear on my face. 😉
