Hey there, dear Mr March, welcome. 😃
Umm... where to start?
It is not that I am not happy about your arrival, but I have to admit that you showed up quite quickly after your colleague, your predecessor, Mr February. What do you say..? that it is his fault for having so few days? Maybe. In any case, we have a tough situation now - you are already here I am not prepared with my collection for the new monthly theme...
Actually, it could be my fault 😅... I accept the verdict. Still, I hope to survive this failure of mine for not having my own collection prepared for today.
The only thing saving me from the fatal ending is that I found a small collection of the item that will be the protagonist during this month in our Hive Collectors community. You can already guess what it is about, right?
BOOKS 📚
The hotel where I usually play every Sunday morning has several bookshelves in its lobby. It's been a while since I have seen the little dreaming figure looking after the stories written on these pages, but I am glad that at least the books are there. They do change over time. Now there are mostly Norwegian books, Dutch and just a few English ones. If I didn't have to play, that is, if I were just a guest at the hotel, I would probably leaf through some of them and read a few chapters right there in the lobby while the sun is rising over the horizon.
Nowadays, it is not difficult to get books that we can read or collect. But still, it is better to read them if we have time because we can always learn something new, have fun, get ideas, live the adventuries of the protagonists of the books or simply expand our vocabulary, especially if we read books in a language that is not our mother tongue. I can personally confirm this. When we moved to Spain, I joined a library and started reading books in Spanish. Maybe it was difficult at first, because I tried to translate every word and remember it. After a while, reading became a bit easier as I was no longer trying to understand word by word but to get the meaning without having to translate everything. I guess it can be applied to many things in our lives.
I think we can all agree that having books in our lives is a great blessing, although they may look like a random collection of pages bound together. They are much more than that. Some centuries ago, a German inventor made a great favour to humanity with his innovations as printing books allowed ideas to spread among everyone, once the reading was no longer limited to rich or powerful groups. Also, thanks to the same man, Mr Gutenberg, books can come to the Hive Collectors community this month.
I hope you guys like this topic and have some books at home to present here. I promise hope to bring my official entry as well, and also, I apologise for not being present much at Hive lately.
bringing a little life update (not a material for a book, but still...) from my side wouldn't be bad either 😅
