Hello friends, it is a pleasure to be here again to share with you another of my collections. The truth is that sometimes we ask ourselves the question: Why do we collect some things? But in reality, when we start to collect those things with similar characteristics, in terms of shape and use, it is because that type of object reminds us of special moments in our life, perhaps it reminds us of a moment in our childhood. Many times we feel attracted to some object, like a hat or something else, simply because our grandfather used it a lot, or our grandmother's necklace, then those types of things catch our attention, to the point of wanting to collect them. So, when we collect some objects, it is because something emotional motivates us.
Well friends, I confess that since I was very young I have been drawn to camping lamps. I think this happens to me because in my grandparents' country house there were many lamps, some of them were oil-powered and others used diesel and kerosene. In my grandparents' country house these lamps were used because at that time there was no electricity, so I have always remembered those lamps. In fact, I like to collect them. I have bought many of them, but I have made others. This time I am going to show you three of my lamps. Because I have others, but I have them in my country house.
These are some of my hanging camping lamps:
The following hanging lamps are for candles, I made them myself with tuna cans, what do you think?
I made the following lamp with a spray bottle and it turned out very well, I currently have it in my country house:
Well friends, the truth is that the objects we collect connect us with the past, because they all have some history. You see, we feel so passionate about all those objects we collect that when we see something similar in a store, we want to buy it, it's as if we were always missing one of those pieces. I say this because I once visited a friend and on a wall I saw a camping lamp and I immediately told my friend to sell it to me. I confess that I insisted several times to my friend to sell it to me, but unfortunately that lamp was a memory of his father. Look, behind my friend's lamp there was also a story.
