Have you ever had or seen petromak lights that were widely used in the 90s to replace lights when the electricity died. If you have never seen it, let's take a look here and I will explain how this useful object was created by Mr. Max Graetz.
This petromak lamp that I share is a relic of my grandmother who bought it when my mother was a teenager around the 80s in the traditional market of Batavia or Jakarta, Indonesia. This petromak lamp used to be bought for $50 fairly expensive in those days but its usefulness is more important,if now it is not so interesting because there are many light machines that have been created.
Iron Stenlis Durable
The whole Petromak lamp is made with stenlis iron, stenlis iron is also slightly different from the thick stenlis used in beverage cans. Lampus petromak wearing stenlis good if I drop it not directly damaged the body.
In some parts it is also equipped with white iron so that it is not easy to rust like the button to turn it on and the button to adjust the light. I think because the button is used white iron is in this part of the place most touched by the wearer.
In the button also used plastic as a complement to the button that also memepercantik button as shown below
I also like it because it is written in a very beautiful star symbol.
Like a Mercusuar on The Sea
Looking at this Petromax lamp I like to see Mercusuar that are in the ocean or called lighthouses. But the petromak lamp is only different from my roof because as we know the lighthouse has a roof that is ready to repel water just like our house but this does not exist because it is for use in the house,if you want to use it in open space I do not recommend it.
At the top bangian made a gap for the exit of the light so that the light emitted also bounces upward. I also see this design is exactly the same as the place to monitor by people who keep mersecuar in the ocean, this gap gap is very useful for this petromak lamp so that the air that is removed from the lamp does not settle in it as shown below
And do not forget also the most useful gap in my opinion is at the bottom of the oil filling section precisely above the button to adjust the power of the light as shown below
Used By Hanging
I recommend using it by hanging on any place that can approximately withstand the weight of this petromak lamp that weighs 1kg. Usually I hang it on a long nail that I nailed specifically to accommodate this lamp because on this lamp there is a small and long handle to put it.
Actually, I have two petromak lamps and they are no different and I don't think I have to explain the other one because the design is the same.
Both I hang in the same place as the picture below
Maybe this is all I can explain how I have a collection of petromak lights in the 90s and if you have free time let's see my post on my blog
Thank you for reading my blog and reblog if you want my blog to be read by others this time.
