Hello everyone, I hope you all are fine, I am also doing well.
I was occupied with the wedding ceremony of my friend. It took seven days because there were numerous functions and occasions and different ceremonies, rituals, norms which took place in this wedding. And he is a very close friend of mine, so I had to be with him throughout this little journey. We have been together for almost ten years. A decade of my life, I have spent with my friend. Which means so much to me, he has been with me throughout different turns in life. Through ups, through downs, and it means so much to me that he called me and invited me to be a part of his journey and help him as he started a new chapter in his life.
My thoughts on weddings are very simple. If you are compatible with your partner, if you are understanding, you both have feelings for each other, you should get married. And it is the best thing in the world. And luckily, he found his partner, and there were so many things sorted in his life now. I am going to tell you all about it. But I will tell you about the starting function, which is Mehfil.
So, we invited a local singer, Nazakat Fakir. He is very renowned in the local region. He sings in local language, in our Sindhi language, and the experience was sublime. We invited all our friends and relatives, and we all wore different dresses, and it was such a beautiful experience. We were dancing, we were singing, and all of us were joyous. And it felt surreal. Because the happiness, the joy on everyone's faces was so pure. And each emotion was heartfelt.
This was the start of the journey which my friend and his partner were about to start, and I think that the start of a journey is very important. The first impression is the last impression. You have to welcome your partner in your life in a way that it becomes a core memory. So that whenever there is a dispute, there is a conflict, the partners can reminisce, relive, and rejoice the beginning of their journey and live it throughout those conflicts.
We booked a hall for this little singing ceremony. People also call it Kawali night. We here in this region call it Mehfil. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. I am posting the pictures as well, so that you can be a little part of this journey as well. I will tell you about the and final Waleema ceremony as well. I will see you in another vlog. Thank you so much. Take care of yourself, and do let me know in the comment section below about your thoughts on marriages.
Ps. The pictures are my own taken with my iphone 15.
