The past few weeks have been great, we have finally started building some momentum in this community. Nigeria and Venezuela are really coming through, and I'm happy to see a few Indonesian and Ukrainian friends, and others too. I can't wait to see where we go with it.
We have a new project or two coming up next week. It looks like and

We will be introducing the team one by one every 3-6 days so you can get to know us. I'll start with myself....here it goes!
Introduce yourself
Though I use my real name sometimes over on discord, at Hive you can call me Pineapple. I teach, play music, write stories, build community, make friends and explore whatever I can.
I started this community in order to encourage more interaction and friendship between people from different regional communities, and as a way to organize our efforts to make each community stronger. I also hope we can have discussions that lead to more understanding of people from different backgrounds, whether it be country, race, religion, social status, interest, or custom.
What things are you most passionate about?
I love people! I love to see them excited and creative and pursue better and better versions of themselves. I love creativity and the way we are all playful and exploratory by nature. I can be serious sometimes, but I'm actually a friendly troll at heart. :-P
Where are you from/Where do you live?
I'm from USA but I live in Tokyo, Japan.
What languages do you speak?
I'm native at English, fluent at Mandarin and Japanese, and I have some understanding of Cantonese, Spanish and Indonesian.
What should we check out from your country?
From USA...there is lots of good stuff, although I find the best of it to be less well known...For music, there last few years I'm most impressed with Teebs and Dan Deacon. For television Mr. Robot was pretty cool. As for other stuff, I've been away for a long time. I would love to go back one day and connect with the indigenous people in some way.
As for Japan...I think the best thing here is sensitivity and perceptiveness to what others are feeling. For music, I've recently been listening to lots of Minyo Crusaders and Ikue Asazaki. Food you might want to try if you come here is Monkfish liver or Dried ray fin, both go well with sake. And I wasn't a big fan of anime and manga at first but now I have a few favorites...particularly Made in Abyss, Paranoia Agent, and the manga of Asano Inio and Urasawa Naoki.
Where would you like to travel and why?
I don't like travel for sightseeing but if I can connect with local people I'm thrilled to explore somewhere slowly. I am looking forward to visiting Indonesia, Portugal, Spain, and Nigeria to visit Hive friends....now also thinking about Venezuela. And I wasn't kind of avoiding English speaking countries but mayyyybe I'll go to Australia cause I have to meet eventually.
What are some of your goals?
I want to live a life that is totally in a flow state as much as possible, create amazing art that moves people, help people understand each other better and have a really good time.
I would love to live in Japan 8 months a year and spend the rest of the year connecting with communities around the world and people I've met from Hive.
I'd also love to help people become more and more who they really want to be.
What kind of people do you get along with the best?
I get along with creative and lighthearted people who care about others.
How did you learn about Hive?
I was randomly watching some conspiracy theory video that seemed really unlikely to me and just got curious about the comments and saw someone promoting steemit...been a regular user ever since.
What kind of posts are you most interested in?
I love introspective posts where people explore themselves, and also posts that allow me to see into other people's worlds.
What Hive user(s) would you like to get to know better?
I had a little chat with both and also his friends, and also
who seems like someone with a lot of depth. I also would like to get to know our curators better so looking forward to their answers.
and
.
What do you like most at Hive?
I love the quality of people I've met here. There is so much variety and everyone is passionate about something and quirky and free thinking. I feel so much potential just in this combination of people, and that's not even considering the technology or the monetization aspect which I hope can help people provide for themselves by doing what they love.
