Como saben, el uso excesivo de la tecnología es muy perjudicial para nuestros hijos y desgraciadamente durante el periodo vacacional muchos niños quieren pasar el día pegados a la tablet o al ordenador jugando a juegos online y eso les perjudica porque les aleja de la interacción social con otros niños.
As you know, the excessive use of technology is very harmful to our children and unfortunately during the holiday period many children want to spend the day glued to the tablet or computer playing online games and that hurts them because it takes them away from social interaction with other children.
He observado con preocupación que muchos padres ofrecen equipos tecnológicos a sus hijos para que estén tranquilos pero esto es delicado. Creo que debemos supervisar muy bien a nuestros hijos cuando utilizan estos aparatos porque con un uso adecuado la tecnología puede ser un gran apoyo en su educación.
I have observed with concern that many parents offer technological equipment to their children to keep them quiet but this is delicate. I think we should supervise our children very well when they use these devices because with proper use technology can be very supportive in their education.
Pero si les permitimos el uso excesivo de la tecnología, nuestros pequeños pueden acabar obsesionándose con estos dispositivos tecnológicos y llegará el momento en que no tengan más interacción que con el ordenador o la tableta. En casa sólo permito a mis hijos una hora diaria de juegos de ordenador, lo que creo que es suficiente para no caer en el exceso.
But if we allow them the excessive use of technology, our little ones can end up becoming obsessed with these technological devices and the time will come when they will have no more interaction than with the computer or tablet. At home I only allow my children one hour of computer games daily, which I think is enough to avoid falling into excess.
Ahora, como padres responsables de la educación de nuestros hijos, es nuestro deber proponerles juegos al aire libre o juegos de mesa en casa donde puedan pensar e interactuar libremente con otros niños y algunos miembros de la familia.

⭐ Juegos de mesa: En casa nos gusta compartir tiempo de calidad mientras jugamos a diferentes juegos de mesa como el tradicional ludo 🎲, dominó, cartas 🃏 entre otros.
⭐ Board Games: At home we like to share quality time while playing different board games such as the traditional ludo 🎲, dominoes, cards 🃏 among others.

⭐ Juegos al Aire libre: Tenemos la suerte de contar con un área abierta cerca de casa allí vamos en las tardes y disfrutamos del sol y la brisa fresca. Mis hijos se divierten corriendo y jugando en el antiguo parque ⛹️🤾, volando papagayos 🪁, jugando a las metras o al yoyo 🪀 mientras yo me entretengo junto a un grupo de bailoterapia💃.
⭐ Outdoor Games: We are lucky to have an open area close to home where we go in the afternoons and enjoy the sun and cool breeze. My kids have fun running and playing in the old park ⛹️🤾, flying parrots 🪁, playing metras or yoyo 🪀 while I entertain myself next to a dance therapy group💃.
Además, hay veces que montamos en bicicleta, lo que es muy terapéutico y relajante. A mis hijos les gusta pasear por la ciudad en bicicleta 🚴😃.
Additionally, there are also times when we ride bikes which is very therapeutic and relaxing. My kids like to ride around town on bikes 🚴😃.
Estas son algunas de las tradiciones que aún mantenemos en mi país para evitar que los niños se obsesionen con la tecnología. Recuerda que siempre es aconsejable ofrecer alternativas de distracción cuando quieras reducir el uso de los dispositivos tecnológicos.
These are some of the traditions that we still keep in my country to prevent children from becoming obsessed with technology. Remember that it is always advisable to offer alternative distractions when you want to reduce the use of technological devices.
Recuerda que la tecnología es una gran aliada siempre y cuando hagamos un buen uso de ella, lo ideal es que nuestros hijos disfruten de su infancia y aprendan a compartir con otros niños de su edad.
