En este post quiero compartir un juego que ha estada en boga en mi país Venezuela desde hace muchos años, lo han jugado bisabuelos, tatarabuelos y abuelos, y aún hoy días muchos chicos a pesar de la tecnología que tanto ha alienado a nuestros pequeños aún lo practican.
In this post I want to share a game that has been in vogue in my country Venezuela for many years, it has been played by great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents and grandparents, and even today many children still play it despite the technology that has alienated our children.
Muchos de ellos lo han aprendido imitando a los adultos o porque en el mejor de los casos aún en las escuelas se practica para el desarrollo de la motricidad gruesa, cooperativismo, competitividad, e interacción grupal, y dependiendo de la edad puede ser aplicado para niños desde 6 años en adelante.
Many of them have learned it by imitating adults or because in the best of cases it is still practiced in schools for the development of gross motor skills, cooperativism, competitiveness, and group interaction, and depending on the age it can be applied to children from 6 years and older.
Tengo entendido es un juego de herencia europea que posee distintos nombres según la región que lo recibió y adaptó a su cultura. Aquí en Venezuela se le conoce como pisé o avioncito. Siendo niña lo jugué con mis hermanos, primos y amigos, de forma empírica, según lo aprendido dibujábamos en el piso con tiza o piedra caliza algunos cuadros enumerados.
I understand it is a game of European heritage that has different names depending on the region that received it and adapted it to their culture. Here in Venezuela it is known as pisé or avioncito. As a child I played it with my brothers, cousins and friends, in an empirical way, according to what we learned we drew on the floor with chalk or limestone some numbered squares.
Lo dibujábamos de forma vertical empezando con una seguidilla de cuadrados y que después en alguna parte dibujábamos dos cuadros unidos, y así sucesivamente trazando dentro de ellos números de 1 al 10, saltábamos en un pie al lanzar una piedrita que cae sobre el número que no debíamos pisar.
We drew it vertically starting with a series of squares and then somewhere we drew two squares joined together, and so on, tracing inside them numbers from 1 to 10, we jumped on one foot by throwing a pebble that falls on the number that we should not step on.
Como docente de cultura en mi escuela siempre estoy tratando de innovar y hacer actividades interactivas con las que pueda salir un poco de la rutina y hacer que los niños se diviertan haciendo cosas diferentes. Justamente hace un tiempo el equipo docente estábamos hablando de recuperar los juegos tradicionales de nuestro país tras la preocupación de que los niños de estos tiempos no los conocen con exactitud, aparte que observamos pereza ante propuestas de actividades corporales pasivas y activas.
As a cultural teacher in my school I am always trying to innovate and make interactive activities with which I can get out of the routine and make children have fun doing different things. Just a while ago the teaching team was talking about recovering the traditional games of our country after the concern that the children of these times do not know them exactly, besides that we observed laziness before proposals of passive and active body activities.
Para nosotros fue un alertar pues nos dio señales que en algunos casos dentro del hogar hay poca actividad física y en la escuela tampoco ya que no contamos con profesores de educación física. Entonces decidimos programar varios juegos interactivos por estaciones: juegos con aros, relevos, carruchas, salto de cuerdas, carrera de saco, e incluimos el pisé que integramos con una variante muy particular, y que es la motivación de este escrito.
For us it was a warning because it gave us signs that in some cases there is little physical activity at home and at school either, since we do not have physical education teachers. So we decided to program several interactive games by stations: games with hoops, relays, carousels, jump ropes, sack race, and we included the "pisé" that we integrated with a very particular variant, and that is the motivation of this writing.
Ciertamente nuestros niños conocen el pisé, y a su mejor estilo he visto que algunos lo juegan, sin embargo buscando de innovar me fui a youtube y logré ver un tipo de pisé que se adapta a toda posibilidad de espacio, siendo llamado en otros países como la rayuela africana, al verlo me encanto y propuse a mis colegas integrarlo como parte de mi repertorio didáctico e interactivo. A continuación, una breve reseña ilustrada de cómo lo entendí y apliqué.
Certainly, our children know the "pisé", and at their best I have seen that some of them play it, however, looking to innovate I went to youtube and I managed to see a type of "pisé" that adapts to all the possibilities of space, being called in other countries as the African hopscotch, when I saw it I loved it and I proposed to my colleagues to integrate it as part of my didactic and interactive repertoire. The following is a brief illustrated review of how I understood and applied it.
A simple vista se ve aburrido pues es solo un tablero dibujado en el piso con una serie de cuadros vacíos que al solo verlo puede resultar insípido, pero el punto está cuando integramos a los participantes al ritmo de una melodía o percusión.
At first glance it looks boring because it is just a board drawn on the floor with a series of empty squares that just looking at it can be bland, but the point is when we integrate the participants to the rhythm of a melody or percussion.
Las pautas son las siguientes: El participante debe esperar fuera de los dos primeros cuadros del tablero en el cual entrará al ritmo más fuerte de una música o percusión en mi caso acompaño con tambor o palmas, a este sonar dará un pequeño salto colocando los dos pies en ambos cuadros.
The guidelines are as follows: The participant must wait outside the first two squares of the board in which he will enter to the strongest rhythm of a music or percussion in my case I accompany with drum or clapping, at this sounding he will make a small jump placing both feet in both squares.
Luego seguirá saltando siempre al ritmo más fuerte de la música, en este caso irá hacia la izquierda pasado por cada cuadricula del mismo cuadrante.
Then he will continue jumping always at the strongest rhythm of the music, in this case he will go to the left passing through each grid of the same quadrant.
Cuando llega al extremo izquierdo del primer cuadrante se debe devolver de igual modo saltando por las mismas cuadriculas ya pisadas, y cuando llega a donde empezó, da un salto en el segundo cuadrante, repitiendo el mismo procedimiento que hizo anteriormente.
When he reaches the left end of the first quadrant, he must return in the same way by jumping over the same squares already walked, and when he reaches where he started, he jumps in the second quadrant, repeating the same procedure he did before.
Justamente cuando el primer participante da el salto al 2do cuadrante, detrás en el primer cuadrante entra al juego otro participante cumpliendo el mismo trayecto, y Juntos al mismo tiempo van saltando cada uno en su tramo.
Just when the first participant jumps to the second quadrant, another participant enters the game behind in the first quadrant, following the same path, and together at the same time they jump each in their own section.
Si existe otro participante, cuando el primero pase al tercer cuadrante y el segundo este en segundo cuadrante, solo así puede entrar al juego un tercer participante en el primer cuadrante siguiendo el mismo orden de saltos por cada cuadricula.
If there is another participant, when the first one moves to the third quadrant and the second one is in the second quadrant, only then can a third participant enter the game in the first quadrant following the same order of jumps for each quadrant.
De este modo ida y vuelta por cada cuadrito al ritmo de la música, se pueden ir integrando otros participantes en el juego donde saltan al mismo tiempo uno detrás de otro, hasta lograr pasar por todos los cuadrantes, donde se van saliendo de uno en uno.
In this way, going back and forth through each square to the rhythm of the music, other participants can be integrated into the game where they jump at the same time one after the other, until they pass through all the quadrants, where they leave one by one.
Existe la posibilidad de hacer variantes donde unos pueden empezar por la entrada y otros por la salida, también dar vuelta para cambiar de dirección en el mismo cuadrito, esto queda a la creatividad de los jugadores.
There is the possibility of making variants where some can start at the entrance and others at the exit, also turn around to change direction in the same square, this is up to the creativity of the players.
En lo personal con mis estudiantes lo he hecho como en principio lo presento, cuando lo realizan se ponen muy ansiosos y es difícil que logren entender la dinámica del juego, sin embargo, nos hemos divertido de lo lindo.
Personally, I have done it with my students as I present it in principle, when they do it, they get very anxious and it is difficult for them to understand the dynamics of the game, however, we have had a lot of fun.
Es una estrategia muy entretenida donde podemos pasar un rato ameno, es posible hacerlo con varias personas o un solo participante, es adaptable para niños de 6 años en adelante permitiendo el desarrollo de la motricidad gruesa, coordinación, atención, cooperación y trabajo en equipo.
It is a very entertaining strategy where we can spend a fun time, it is possible to do it with several people or a single participant, it is adaptable for children 6 years and older allowing the development of gross motor skills, coordination, attention, cooperation and teamwork.
Y en casa también lo he realizado con mi sobrina y sus amiguitos asiáticos, al proponerles hacer la rayuela no teníamos tiza, pero nos aprovechamos de un trozo de ladrillo y eso basto para pasar un rato muy entretenido entre juegos de rayuela, de estatuas, escondites, y al final degustamos unos ricos helados de fruta hechos en casa.
And at home I have also done it with my niece and her little Asian friends, when I proposed to do hopscotch we did not have chalk, but we took advantage of a piece of brick and that was enough to spend a very entertaining time between hopscotch games, statues, hiding places, and at the end we tasted some delicious homemade fruit ice cream.
