The power of motherhood - Wish all mothers a happy Mother's day
There can never be a bad mother - whatever her child may be. You can never repay her for what she does for us, so remember to keep her happy all the time. It's not very difficult to keep her happy - all she needs is your little attention. I am sure, no mother will insist or demand anything from her kids, she is always happy with whatever you can do for her or whatever you give her - it could be very small things but with much love - - she is free from jealousy or envy. You just need to make her feel that you stand for her whenever she needs you. Even if you are staying far from her, make sure to dedicate some time for her, speaking in regular intervals. And visit whenever possible - you need to make that possibility a reality often.
On this occasion, I would like to present a nice story from our mythology - a story about Sati Anasuya who converted the Divine Trinity as kids to feed them as a mother - yes only Motherhood can make this a possibility - such is the power. Her name itself has a special meaning, here is the Etymology :
Anasuya is composed of two Sanskrit words: Nah and Asuya. Nah' is a negative prefix which means absence, while Asuya means jealousy. Anasuya could be translated into English as the one who is free from jealousy or envy.
Quite inspiring she was - so much so that, the wives of the Divine Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshvara or Shiva the destroyer) wanted to test her and sent their husbands to break her chastity. The supreme lords went as sages in disguise and asked her alms (Bhiksha) when her husband was not around. To honor the tradition of hospitality, she welcomed and invited the Divine Trinity to eat. But they laid a condition - we will only eat, if you serve the food naked. She was in a dilemma but she could quickly figure out by her power who these three sages were. She granted their wish and transformed them into three lovely babies by sprinkling water after enchanting mantras. It brought the feeling of motherhood in her heart after which she became naked and fed them milk and rice, putting all three to sleep in her lap, a deep sleep. Many days passed like this and the three goddesses were getting desperate. Finally they arrived at her cottage and were surprised to see the power of motherhood. Realizing their mistake, they begged to return their husbands bringing them back to normal. Time for her to test - she asked them to recognize their husbands and pick them. And they all picked wrong guys - Lakshmi picked Brahma, Saraswati lifted Shiva and Parvati had picked up Vishnu. The ladies were very embarrassed and felt sorry.
Such is the power of motherhood - she can go to any extent, do anything for her kids - there is no better blood relationship than Motherhood. I hope we all feel and reciprocate the same for our mothers.
Wish all mothers a Happy Mother's day.
