It's my first time posting in this community and I got to know about this from 
TIV traditional Marriage is regarded as one of the best and richest marriages around the globe. Their multi-component rite makes it all beautiful.
The first step to the traditional Marriage is the groom officially pays a visit or homage to the bride's family along with his kingsmen, they make their intentions known. They take a keg of palm-wine,kolanuts, salt, and bushmeat, etc. They will discuss the date of the wedding and discuss the list of the bride price.
After several preparations, the next is the traditional Marriage day. On this day of epoch-making occasion, the members of the bride and groom's family are divided into groups. The groom in the company of his family members enters into a room to negotiate with the men of the bride's family on how much the dowry payment will be. After successful payment of the dowry, the list of bride price will be presented to the father of the bride. Some of this item include;
Goat
Pig
Local gin
Additional dry gin which is usually monetized
Azenga
Danchiki, etc.
For the mother we have;
Umbrella
Palm-oil
Wheelbarrow
Measuring bowl
Tabruma (mat)
Basin
Necklace
Soft drink
Clothes, etc.

A lot of these gifts are usually monetized on an agreement of both families...
At this point, the bride receives advice from her mother and other elderly women of the family. When the rites are done, the groom's family presents "swonge" and plays traditional music to signal everyone of the bride's arrival.

The most outstanding element about TIV dressing is that black and white clothes made from A'nger material can never be out of the picture.
The bride is beautifully adorned with a necklace, headdress, bracelet, etc.
After the entire marriage ceremony, the couple take turns to snap pictures which is believed to keep the matrimonial memory fresh. Gift items are being given to them so as to help them startup a new home for themselves.
TIV culture is very colourful and developed in many aspect and of course, Marriage is one of the major aspect that varies from other culture and tribe.
