About this video
This video showcases our way of living in the countryside, particularly the medium of cooking that we use, wood. When I was young 100% of homes here in our neighborhood uses wood for cooking, that was in the 1990s. At present, households here in our neighborhood sparingly uses wood and gas for cooking but I think the majority of household still uses wood. As for my family, we both have gas and wood being used for cooking but as of now, as long as it is summer we take advantage of it by collecting any dry wood that we could be used for cooking in order to save on the cost of gas which is quite expensive right now, about $15 USD. Quite expensive isn't it? So, to save on the cost of gas we use wood for cooking.
Interesting fact
In this video, we went to a place called "Bangkag". It is a place that resembles a little forest where wild grasses, vines, fruits, vegetables, and trees grow. The "Bangkag" that we are going to visit in this video is formerly owned by my father (sold to a family acquaintance) which he used to plant vegetables and fruit when I was young. There are also lots of bamboo that my father planted when I was young.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
