Until Then is a narrative adventure with beautiful pixel art set in the modern Philippines. In the aftermath of a global catastrophe called "The Ruling" and the trauma and loss caused by it, the game story follows Mark Borja and his friends, exploring their daily life. Until Then explores many themes such as loss, memory and the passage of time.
Part 2 - Chess Tournament and Déjà Vu
This part of my Until Then Let's Play covers the second half of "Chapter 1." Following the introduction in the previous part. This time we follow Mark at night, and going to cheer on Lousie in her Chess Tournament after that. We get introduced to Sofia, Louise's friend. Finally we get the first glimpse at Nicole, a girl who Mark haven't met before but seems to recognize.
There are two standout scenes in this part. First, Mark's conversation with Lousie about it not raining for the past month, yet she has memories of it raining. This Deja Vu is the first clue about the mystery of this game's story.
The second scene is when Cathrine and Mark look up the new students names. For some reason, Mark recognizes these names despite not having met them before. The chapter ends with Cath and Mark under the rain!
