MT: 29-year-old doctor dies with Covid-19 after a month in hospital

Doctor Monique Silva Batista, 29, died on Monday (10) victim of Covid-19. According to the Heart of Jesus Hospital, in Mato Grosso, the doctor was hospitalized for about a month in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Amecor, in Cuiabá.

  Born in Uberaba (MG), Monique worked for about a year as an on-duty doctor at Hospital Coração de Jesus. She had asthma and was at the forefront of the fight against the new coronavirus in the city of Campo Verde.

“Monique fought bravely, just as she did on a daily basis in her work, which she performed with passion”, says the note from Hospital Coração de Jesus.
