Hello, hive open mic community! It's my first time here, and I will be performing a song by Celine Dion titled "My heart will go on." This is a song I love listening to, and I would love to share it with you all.
For this week, I chose this song because, looking around, I see people who have lost their loved ones due to one tragedy or another. Although no one ever wishes for bad things to happen, they are inevitable in one's journey as a human and are bound to happen one way or another.
This morning, I was scrolling through my TikTok page, and I saw the little boy, a son of one of Nigeria's hip-hop artists, "Mohbad," who we lost to the cold hands of death last September. The boy is growing, but without his father, the father would have been the happiest man on earth when his son was one, but he wasn't there to witness that. But all the same, life goes on. The boy will only grow to hear the stories of his father, but nevertheless, life goes on.
To all those that we've lost, we will never be together again, but their memories live on. This song also made it to the list of my best songs of all time when I watched the movie "Titanic." Our loved ones might not be with us again, but we love them still.
