It symbolize obedience to Allah and following the tradition of the prophet.Khatna is usually performed during childhood. Though the exact age may vary depending on cultural and family practices.In many Muslim communities it is done at a young age to ensure faster healing and less discomfort. The procedure is generally simple and safe when carried out by trained medical professionals. Beyond it religious significance khatna also has hygienic and health benefits.It helps in maintaining cleanliness, reducing the risk of infections and preventing certain medical conditions.
