That burden rests on her shoulders, and will forever. Gabbard's fulfillment of the office of DNI despite Trump's collusion with Israeli agents Witkoff and Kushner, leave a mark, a blemish on her character impossible to wash away by intending to provide historical clarity at some point in the future. We are impermanent, and cannot prophecy that future utility can outweigh existential present need. DNI Gabbard shares responsibility with Hegseth and his troops, as well as with Trump, for the murder of ~170 schoolgirls by not preventing allowing AI to pull the trigger - as Anthropic insisted was necessary, before being excoriated and labeled a threat to the USA for that insistence - or resigning before that crime lay on her head. I do not find conceivable any potential purpose to outweigh that culpability.

I find the more I see writing from AI, and artwork produced by it, the less I care about it and it's abilities to mimic the human produced content it is trained on. It is the utility of AI to parse large databases, to provide maintenance schedules and do checklist tasks, like troubleshooting equipment, diagnoses, and automating production of tabletop means of production, and coordinating multiple such tools to support independence, as well as coding and engineering hardware circuits, that increasingly interests me.
