School Year 2025-2026 is about to end. Before the commencement ceremony, we always conduct a culmination activity and recognize our partners for their contributions to our work immersion program. This activity is an avenue to personally thank our partners for warmly welcoming our learners in their workplace. This is also to recognize the achievement of our learners in completing the work immersion journey.
I thought our immersion wouldn't be possible for this school year since our place, Northern Cebu, was struck by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake, thus making our classrooms unusable for learners and thereby shifting to an alternative delivery mode of learning and having limited face-to-face. Then, in the following month, we were also hit by a typhoon, which greatly devastated many areas, and many lives were lost due to flooding. But then we were thankful that after a month, we slowly recovered, and our business firms eventually opened and were ready to accept our learners for work immersion. It was only 10 days, but for the learners, it was already a long period of time for them to immerse themselves in the real world of work.
So last March 13, 2026, we conducted our work immersion culmination and recognition of our partners. It was a big event for us, so we planned the activity carefully, and we allocated a big budget for our food, stage decoration, certificate, plaque, and many more. Before the said event, we prepared the venue, including physical arrangements and stage decoration, as well as cleaning the area and ensuring our learners master their presentation.
The event started with a prayer, singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the words of welcome by our school Principal. After that came the insights from selected students at selected firms. This was followed by the presentation of certificates to our work immersion students from various firms and institutions. Then, the giving of a plaque to our learners. We also entertained our guests with various presentations from our selected students.
Selected firms were also given time to deliver their empowering message to inspire our learners and to show their commitment and dedication to supporting the work immersion program of DepEd.
Our district supervisor delivered her words of inspiration, which motivated our learners and teachers to continue the good practices with discipline, good values, and hard work. We are thankful to each and every one who contributed to the success of the activity.
To our partners and stakeholders, to the parents, our school principal, and dedicated teachers, thank you for the continuous support, guidance, and mentoring of our learners.
To our grade 12 learners, congratulations on completing your work immersion journey. May the learning you've got be used in your future career and future life.
