School is fun especially when it comes to extra curricular or join some clubs and organizations! When it comes to these activities I am really not a fan of it when it doesn’t involve music or arts, so this is new for me since it is involving rescuing and assisting someone in need. Let me take you to my journey as a DRRM trainee and as a member of this organization in our school!
DRRM is about serving the school on events incase of emergencies, we rescue minor and major injuries or problems that can be possibly be happened on some events including collapse on exhaustion, minor/major injuries during performances or students who needs our help on physical problem attacks at events. We also serve elementary and high school students since we are under our school, they train us as first aiders and rescuers of the whole school. This organization can teach you to be patient, alert, resourceful and respectful, it’s not easy to be one of the members actually because you’ll be facing some serious events and some serious injuries unexpectedly.
This is my first duty outside the school as a trainee, we are tasked to take a watch on an elementary cleanup drive and swimming. We are there to watch the kids and prevent to minor or major harms of the environment, we have to keep an eye on them especially when it comes to the sea since there’s a possibility case of drowning and gladly that didn’t happen that day. Maybe it’s an easy work for others when they see we are only watching the kids but no, there are a lot of students who joined and it is very hard to keep an eye every single one of them, it’s very hard to respond incase there are multiple incident that can happen. What I love about the task is that you can also enjoy watching the kids have fun and learn at saving the environment also, it is such an overwhelming experience to join this task.
What I love about the task is that it’s very challenging for a trainee to watch on kids outdoors especially on a sea, it’s a bit hard to keep up but we managed it. It is really a successful day as a trainee and also for the other members, the day went great and even see a beautiful cinematic view when we go out to the public beach. It’s like it says “it’s a great work, keep lighting and ignite your dream to accomplish”, a great experience and a successful job as a DRRM trainee.
