What do I really LIKE about the end of the year? It's a time to refocus, sort out what we're aiming for and seeing how well we tracked.
And I gotta say, did not track at all well in 2021. In fact, she didn't track at all. Not even one post.
I guess, as I grew in understanding of what blockchain content creation is all about, I decided that simply sharing other people's content for a chunk of the rewards pool isn't always very creative. And it started to bore me. I'm still not sure that curation posts alone bring enough value to the blockchain to justify the upvotes they get, but I DO recognize the value of sharing little seen or under-valued content.
I also think 2021 was also a brutal year of destroying plans, and derailing energy.
As I revisit my Hive journey heading into my 4th year as a blogger on this amazing, evolving blockchain medium, I have decided to focus this account towards ONE GOOD THING. And I'm going to try and post each and every day from this account in 2022, highlighting good things on this blockchain and in the world at large, and hopefully redressing and shifting the energy away from endless deep, dark and depressing.
I choose this focus as today, Thailand has reverted to restricting tourism entry after just 5 weeks of open borders. Sigh. So easy to slip into that Here we go again with the freakin' Covid funk. So easy to stop being the light and believing in myself as a creator of change.
I don't want
to be only about "happy happy unicorns and rainbows" content. Cos yes, that exhausts me too. But sometimes things just need to be turned inside out and we need to CHOOSE OUR FOCUS.
When I feature the work of another Hive author in my post, they will be a post beneficiary too. Cos sometimes ONE GOOD THING might be some new Hive accounts, a brave nft piece or a stunningly brave Point of View.
I'm actually excited about the energy that comes after a long break and the staggering amount of goodness and growth in a troubled world.
And ready to share that with you.
