Soulful strand
______________
Somewhere in the wings, I'm waiting:
peering through the crevices
of this crustacean shell I'm wearing,
glimsping lightward helices
that promise one day to unwind
with fission of the vast divine.
Patience, child — for your vision
is so narrow, wants concision:
passing on will teach you such,
until that day there is not much
that I, or any other can
relay to you — yet take my hand
in spirit, and too, shed the shell
encumb'ring you — and mark the knell:
illusion falls, yet you still stand
unborn, undying — soulful strand.
