I fell off a mighty dark horse
The unrelenting stride of this stead brought me to a foreign place
Life experience is like watching the same movie play out, but without the courtesy of remembering the grand finale. For some the plot of life can be a mechanical process, a mental calculation or simply following the established tradition. The few of us that make a move outside the grand chess-board of domination & control play by a different set of rules.
The rule of natural law is the first realization. One must not violate the free-will of Others, but only exercise their own Will effortlessly. The second realization is the law of cause & effect (karma) which is a constant force that checks our intentions with their counterbalance. What the individual puts out into the world returns back to him just like the tide returns back to shore.
The Third Realization: GROWTH IS NATURAL TO MAN.
No one thinks of a flower trying
to bloom, or of a tree trying to grow. The blossoming of the
flower is a manifestation of universal law flowing through the
plant; it is the will of the Infinite made manifest in the finite.
Illumination is the blossoming of the soul in man; it is just as
natural, simple, and inevitable as the flowering of the rose. The
wise man does not try to be wise; wisdom is as natural to him
as folly is common to ordinary mortals. Man does not have to
try to be himself. -- Self-Unfoldment by Principles of Realization Manly P. Hall
The Burden of Wisdom
“The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.” Ecclesiastes 1:18 NLT [H/T Joel Stockstill]
There's an unspeakable cruelty to the gentle nature of an actualized individual. For those who have eyes that can see...we see through the artificial layers that camouflage inferiority complexes. By necessity artificial personas are replete with unhealthy coping mechanisms which protects them from the karma they've authored.
As our mind's eye grows in wisdom we can discern the inevitable results of fools walking down a dark path. The Ego seeks to control and replicate itself unto Others by ways of persuasion or coercion. The tragedy lies in that this is not the calling of the children of the sun. It is not up to us to change the world for the better, but rather allowing the eternal light to shine through our being.
Resentment for the fools who fall into patterns of decay breeds moral corruption in our burning hearts. Letting go of the expectation to change Others is an inevitable realization which one must embrace fully without restraint. We were once misguided fools that broke free from our inner darkness and into the light. Let us trust in the natural force which radiates in all beings, let us trust in the life force...let us live in the present.
Does Pursuing Your Passions Make you Free?
When life bleeds into the dawn...I look for a satisfying answer. Rarely, do I seek a shoulder to shield me from myself. The dawn approaches and so my passions are preparing themselves for a long sleep. I am reluctant to wake myself from this dream, maybe I will find comfort here.
Regret, resentment & restlessness anchored my soul in a sea of contradictions. Pride offered me an empty promise of control. In this darkness I steered my Self like a decaying wooden ship --aimlessly drifting into self-abnegation.
In this new phase of my life I found no satisfaction but simply uncomfortable realizations. Is it a surprise that pride can take you far & wide? Is it a surprise the desire to change Others is an ego-trip? Are you surprised to find your Self in the Other?
