Kulu (sweetheart) is my dog's best friend. Millie will start to cry if we even mention her name or any of her various nicknames. Kulu, or Kuku-brains as we call her because of her crazy personality, we believe is a German Sheperd crossed with... uhh... "Northern Dog Mix." We're not sure what's all in there as the bloodlines up here have been rather muddied throughout the years. She is extremely vocal like a husky, but doesn't hit the same high-pitch noises they hare known for and opts for a lower "woo-woo." Don't give her any lip or she will start to yell at you! 😂 It is quite adorable. Millie, on the other hand won't make a peep unless it's barking at (saying hello to) new people or to go see a friend. Once she sees the friend it's silence.
About 2.5 seconds after this photo Kulu side checked Millie, causing her to drop the ball. Kulu then sprung onto the ball and snagged it before Millie could stop and turn around. It was rather amusing. Usually the checking goes the other way around with Millie using her 85 pound frame to bowl over dainty Kulu 🤣
A wonderful clear sunny day allowed for some fast shutter speeds making for clear action shots. I couldn't be happier with how this set of photos turned out.
This last photo has appeared in another one of my blogs, but I couldn't resist showing off Millie's lovely derpy face one more time! She is such a goof! 🤓
All photos are my own, taken by myself. They are taken using a Nikon P900 and a Samsung S20. Consider checking out my website, Midnight Sunsets. I'm also on Twitter and Instagram!
