This is our girl! Mika is such a love bug and the first dog that I've owned over 60 years that requests constant attention. At our ages, I suppose that is not a bad thing as it keeps us moving throughout the day.
This is her lying on the back of the couch, sulking because I'm on the computer doing a post. She is waiting for me to finish so that I will play with her and her toys.
Now, that I'm up taking photos of her she is on alert for the "are you ready" comment. That is all she needs to hear and off she goes to get one of her favorite tug toys.
Mika's sitting on the sofa watching me swifter the floor and patiently waiting for another round of playtime.
Chasing the sunshine streaming through the windows, is a daily event, well when it does shine. No matter what room she's in, if a sunny spot is on the floor, she lies in it.
A little nappy in dad's recliner while I work at my desk paying the monthly bills.
She has her own spot underneath the kitchen island. While I'm baking or fixing a meal she lies in her crate waiting for me to finish for the morning. It does not matter where I am in the house, she has to follow me and stay by my side at all times.
After I have my late lunch, we both settle into the family room for our afternoon lap time. She loves to sit in my lap and takes a little siesta while I try to read a book. It is hard to get a photo of her face as she usually turns her head away from the phone.
She's getting sleepy and can't keep her eyes open.
All settled in finally, now I can read more comfortably while she naps. Usually, we have an hour or so then it is time for hubby to come down from his nap and give her a treat and take her for an afternoon walk.
This is the face that's asking me for some a little love time before she settles in for the night. Sometimes she rolls over and asks for a belly rubdown. It is the cutest thing, like some sort of last-minute comfort before she falls asleep.
That's a wrap for another day in Mika's life; safe, secure, and content with her human parent's constant companionship.
