In a different post a while ago I was showing yellow Ulex flowers. The bushes are thick and covered in flowers.
In the very same spot, there are those spring blooming Erica bushes. They both grow next to each other under tall pines. The yellow Ulex is still dominant one, but the lilac and dark pink clouds of Erica flowers are just irresistible!
I took my spray bottle with me this time to be able to catch some of the drops. The flowers are tiny, though bigger than from the autumn blooming Heather. The bushes also grow much bigger and I have seen some over 1m tall.
If it wasn't for a bit of a cloudy day (and the water spraying) I would probably be able to catch some insects feeding on the nectar. They attract bees, bumblebees, flies, butterflies and moths.
Another time I guess :)
