It is still way too hot around here for my taste and way too dry. I dug up some January photos from Verdizela- one of my usual shooting spots. A nice natural park not too far from me. It is the closes to woods I get around. Large, quiet area with giant pines.
Some old pinecone slowly turning into a lichen city.
This is the place I would normally shoot Lichens. In winter and very early spring they look their best!
And thought it was mid January, some flowers were blooming enjoying warm sun. This is the warmth I also enjoy. Perfectly enough for me!

Lithodora prostrata
Nice to see some drops too. Something very rare in summer :p
Soon... soon the rain will come.
In the late winter the blooming starts all those bushes turn to yellow and lilac clouds. Those are mainly Ulex and Erica. Growing completely unattended they cover the place completely. There are some very small path between them that probably animals use. Not bug enough for humans though.
I really hope nobody will try to turn it into some human friendly park with pretty alleys, perfectly cut grass, round trees and kinds playgrounds. It is wild and it's cool this way!
