Today it was raining (it still does) and I stayed home most of the day, so I figured to do something that I was postponing for quite some time, a photoshooting of our dog!
I have told you in the past that I was interested in pet photography but I never really got into it. Nowadays I am building a new portfolio site and I want to have a pet page in it, so a few new shots do not hurt :)
Although I have given away most of my studio equipment I still keep at home a couple of studio flashes and some gadgets to go with them! The kitchen table was moved to make some space and in a few minutes I had my mini studio ready!
Everything was ready, my model patiently waiting and I only had to put the cable of the trigger on the camera and start shooting. But surprise! My new fancy camera may have bluetooth but it doesn't have a simple socket for an oldfashioned cable, damn!
It's ok though, some improvisation and we are good to go. I connected the camera flash on the hot shoe, pointed it to the ceiling and turned on the photocell of the studio flash. As long as the two flashes have visual contact it works just fine. Of cource I cannot use my telephoto lens and take pictures from the next room as I had in mind but that's ok too!
As you can see from the pictures Marcos (the dog) is very serious and patient. The presence of Fotini (my partner) behind me, holding some treats definitely helped a lot! But beside that, he is the most innocent and goodhearted dog I have ever met. He is so nice that I feel bad to tease him or making jokes on him.
In contradiction to that adorable sneaky bastard below that no matter how hard I tried to fool him, every single time the joke was on me :)
That last picture is from my Best friend ever! and it is my entry to Photo 52, 2020 Challenge, Week Number 14 organized by .
All the pictures and the words are mine.
