The House of Prayer in Jerusalem is a very important place. Jerusalem is known as one of the cities chosen by God. The location, it was where the temple was built. It was like a center for worship. But the house of God was like a temple and it was very sacred.
In Isaiah 56:7,
The Lord declared that my house shall be the house of prayer for everyone. This shows that the house of prayer was not just one place.
but a place where it is created to genuinely serve, desire to serve God.
The house of prayer is not just that many places, it is a sanctuary. It is a place built specially. The book of 2 Corinthians also writes that if my people call upon my name, they shall humble themselves and pray. And I will hear them. This shows us about the house and the temple.
Jesus also addressed.bIn the New Testament, in Matthew 21, it is written that my house shall be called the house of prayer. Although Jesus was bringing people, since they have converted their place to business center, he was angry. But this reminds us that this is a place of worship and not for fake business center or place.
There are many houses of prayer scattered all over the world today, apart from the one in Jerusalem. And this is a place where people just meet to seek the truth and connect with God. This should become a main house of prayer. God wants us to be still. God wants us to be obedient.
