Yes, God has control over the fate of a man. If, He is willing to submit to God.

Your destiny will depend on your action.

2Thess. 2:11-12

If you believe not the truth and allow unrighteousness. God will allow you in illusion.

It means if you are not under God's control. You are going to determine your destiny.

After all the instructions, teaching, warning even admonitions given to you, instead you chose what is lies.

God will allow you to believe a lie, be in darkness, in falsehood.

Biblical answer is that God will have control over you if you submit yourself to HIM
