Hi,
I want to contribute to the question that says "What does the Bible say about baptism? ( part 3 of 3)"
Baptism in the Jordan river may seem to be a luxury or false Faith.
Luxury because if you have money, you can go there for sight seeing.
Many people are adventurous and like to go places, this is the reason for the boom in the travel industry.
People like to go places especially the rich.
Baptism is not a necessity that should be conducted in the Jordan river.
You can be baptized in your locality where you reside.
The important question is who will administer unto you?
That is ,you have a right to choose who the officiating minister will be ,you can not allow yourself to be baptized by just anybody.
Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
That instruction of Lord Jesus Christ to his disciples is very clear.
▫️Make disciples
▫️Teach Nations
▫️Baptize them in the name of the father, son and holy Ghost.
The one who has the right to baptize is the person who has capacity to teach all the commandments of Christ.
If you are going to be baptized by a Pastor that is ignorant of the Bible, who can not teach all the commandments of Christ and doctrines of Christ.
That is why the Bible classified a Deacon to be apt to teach.
If a deacon must be apt to teach.
A bishop must be apt to teach.
A minister must also be apt to teach.
But,if a deacon, bishop , a minister or anybody claiming to have authority to officiate baptism can not teach the entire Lord Jesus Christ, you are risking your Salvation, if you submit yourself to these people to be baptized by them.
Only receive baptism from somebody who can teach you all the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ.
