Christ wants us to do good works, As long as we live we have to do good works that will qualify us to inherit eternal life.
Matthew 7:24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:25
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
I suspect you know that everything Jesus Christ said are good works.
There are some examples of what he said that are good works.
- Love your enemies Matthew 5:44
- Give your neighbor something to eat when he is hungry and drink when he is thirsty.
There is a great fall for all who do not want to do good works anyone.
The real truth in the Bible is that Bible is that we have to do good works with our faith for us to be saved.
James 2:22
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?"
It is true that you will be saved by faith but what type of faith will save you.
A very big Faith will save you and it is by good works your faith is made perfect.
So the Faith of any Christian body or sector without good works is dead.
Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Can you see that brethren.
As we have always obeyed. We need to obey the word of God at all time. This will help our faith become perfect.
