I want to contribute to the question tagged "What is the Faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43?"
We have to work and the type of work to do are the good works.
Faith may be enough for salvation, if you are going to live for a day or an hour.
Wherein you have a month more or a year more after which you have received the Faith.
You ought to grow in Christ which is learning how to do works.
The good works and the examples of the works that were done by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember, he is an example.
And all the good works he was able to do in the short time of his Life on Earth, Are our examples of good works.
Not only to those we love but even to our enemies.
Matthew 5:44.
Matthew 25:32
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Matthew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:35
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Matthew 25:36
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Matthew 25:37
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Matthew 25:38
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Matthew 25:39
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Matthew 25:40
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Those good works merited for them the kingdom of God.
He will not say that to the criminal on the cross.
The thief on the cross did not feed him at anytime neither drink.
The good works merited for them their Salvation.
To obtain the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do not tell me in any that you know the entire Bible that good works is not necessary.
It can be the way to Salvation of men who have no FAITH
Therefore, brethren let us endeavor to add good works to our faith, being there for both our Friends and enemies so that we can win more Souls into the kingdom of God.
