What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23: 42-43? (Part 5 of 7).

Hi Brethren,

I'm contributing to what i leant again titled What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43? (Part 5 of 7).

Christ wants us to do good works, as long as we live, we have to do good works and it is our good works that will qualify us to inherit eternal life.

(Matthew 7:24) Therefore, whosoever heareth this saying of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

Verse 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not; For it was founded upon a rock.

I suspect you know that everything that Jesus Christ said are good works.

There are some examples of what he said that are good works. (1) Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44).

(2) Give your neighbour something to eat when he is hungry and drink when he is thirsty.

And because of those good works that you are doing. The LORD Jesus Christ said; Anyone that heareth this saying of mine, and doeth them.

Matthew 07: 24 Then,

Matthew 7:26 And anyone that heareth this saying of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.

Matthew 7: 27 There is a great fall for all who do not want to do good works anymore. The really truth in the bible is that we have to do good works with our heavenly father for us to be saved.

James 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

It is true that you will be saved by faith but what type of faith will save you? It is a very big faith that will save you and it is by good works, your faith is made perfect.

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

How can you be saved by a dead faith? Is there efficacy at all in faith that is dead. So, the faith of any christian sector or body without good works is dead.

Good works is very necessary, it must be accompanies by faith. It is the work you are doing that makes your faith perfect.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed not as in my presence only but now much much more in my presence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

For in good works with God we prepared for heaven at last.
