Nothing pleases God as much as His son Jesus Christ. Jesus's lifestyle on earth was perfect unlike like anyone else. He carried out the Will of His Father perfectly without any disappointment. He gave us the blueprint of how we as Christians should live our lives hear on earth.
Jesus forsook His desires so that He can please God. He denied His pleasures even down to the cross. Hanging on the cross was not a pleasant experience. Jesus in an His power and magnanimity could have prevented this from happening.
He had the capability of saving Himself, but for the purpose of pleasing God and fulfilling the scriptures He chose to die one of the most shameful death anyone could ever go through as at that time, so that God in Heaven would be glorified.
God could not be any more pleased with the manner in which Christ lived His life on earth. Even in the time Jesus was being baptized by John God made it known to John that the person he was baptizing is someone He is well pleased with. We may not be able to please God the same way Christ did, but we can try our best.
