The idea for marriage is for two people to come together and become one. Marriage is all about oneness. The Bible says that this is the reason why two people will come together and become one. The "one" in this context does not necessary mean physically, what it really means is that they'll share a common goal.
That is the reason why another name or term for spouse is partner. We understand the term partner to be someone who assists the other to achieve a common goal. If for some reason a partner does not have the same values with the other and is not concerned in helping them or is nonchalant towards contributing to achieving their goals and visions, then maybe such person is not meant for them.
For is not to make mistake in marriage we need to seek direction and guidance from God. God is in the best position to give us counsel on the right choice to make. We do not just go into marriage carnally. It is a very serious matter. God is the one that designed marriage, not a man.
God wants us to be with the right person but we cannot do that if we do not seek His direction before going into it. Even if spending our lives with the right person would take time out is worth it then marrying early but doing it the wrong person.
