The goal of marriage is for two individuals to unite and become one. The main goal of marriage is unity. According to the Bible, this is the reason two people will unite and become one.
In this instance, "one" does not necessarily imply physical proximity; rather, it just indicates that they will have a shared objective. For this reason, a spouse might also be referred to as a partner. We define a partner as someone who helps the other person accomplish a shared objective.
A partner may not be the right fit for them if, for whatever reason, they do not share the same values and are unconcerned about helping the other person achieve their objectives and dreams. We must seek God's instruction and guidance in order to avoid making mistakes in marriage.
God is in the best position to advise us on the best course of action. We don't simply enter into a carnal marriage. It's a pretty significant issue. Marriage was not created by men, but by God.
God wants us to be with the appropriate person, but if we don't ask for His guidance before dating, we won't be able to achieve that.
