Death is a phase that everyone of us just pass through. It is inevitable. Every single person born of a woman must surely encounter death, except for those who would remain till the last day. The body we take on is a corrupt body and according to the bible's context of "corruption" it is anything that doesn't have eternal value and must surely meet an end one day.
Hebrews 9:27 KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
As long as we are flesh and blood we do not have the ability to bypass death. Even Jesus Christ exited this earth through death. The death of mankind is as a result of disobedience which brought the consequence of death. We were originally created to be like God; never to see death, but the sin of man made us to be mere mortals.
But for those in Christ death shouldn't be our fear because we know that death is not the end. It is a just a transition to our eternal home where we will dwell with God, which was the initial habitation of man.
