God is not pleased with anything as much as His son Jesus Christ. The lifestyle that Jesus modelled on earth was perfect unlike like anyone else. He carried out the complete Will of His Father perfectly without any alteration . He gave us the directive of how we as Christians should live our lives here on earth.
Jesus forsook His personal gains and desires so that He can please God. He sacrificed His pleasures even down to when he hung on the cross. Hanging on the cross was a very shameful way to be prosecuted back in those times. Jesus even in all His power, might and authority could have prevented this from happening.
He had the capability of saving Himself, but for the sake of pleasing God and fulfilling the scriptures He chose to die one of the most for the crimes that he was innocent of, so that God in Heaven would be glorified.
Nothing could have pleased God more than this manner in which Christ lived His life on earth. Even in the time Jesus was to be baptised by John God’s spirit came in the manner of a dove and made it known to John that the person he was about to baptise is someone He is well pleased with. It may be virtually impossible to please God the same way Christ did, but that does not mean we can’t try our best.
