This responsorial Psalm 136 :1-9, is ideal for public and private reading or singing.
Each verse ends with the phrase, ' For His Mercy endures forever.' In verses 1 to 3, we are called upon to give thanks to the Lord, with each verse containing at least one reason for the call.
These are that God is good. He is the God of gods and the Lord of lords. In verses 4 to 9, some of His wonders of creation are referenced. These include the creation of the heavens and the earth, the seas the sun, the moon and the stars. God made all these by His wisdom and power, and they all work together for His glory.
In Psalm 8:4
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
In spite of the greatness and vastness of all the things that God has created, He takes special interest in us, show us His love and mercy, and wants to relate with us as His children. Consider the goodness of the Lord towards you and your family.
Look at the mercy and love that He has shown you at various times, then continue to give thanks to the Lord.
Thank you so much for your support...🙏
