David prayed, " Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from your law. " It is clear that the law of the Lord is full of wondrous things and contains all that is meant for life and fulfilment.
However, ordinary human eyes cannot see this treasure except the ones that have been illuminated by God Himself
It is the eye that God has made alive that can behold the treasure in His word. Apostle Paul, in line with this, prayed for the Ephesians that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened so that they might know the hope of God's calling upon their lives and what the riches of the glory of the inheritance of Christ is in the saints (Ephesians 1:18 ).
Christians must constantly pray for enlightened eyes in order to understand the mysteries of God's Kingdom. We all need to receive grace to understand the law of the Lord, to behold wondrous things from His word and the Lord is ready to give if we are ready to ask.
