Hello good morning believers in Christ, trust we doing good by the grace of God. I’m so happy to come your way again with mother episode of the Uriah Story. You can check for my previous post for some lessons extracted from 2 Samuel 11.
Now we continue with the ending part of the story and to me it almost sound same as that of Jesus Christ.
After king David giving all the opportunities in this world for Uriah to reunite with his wife and he turning them down. The only option left for him was to eliminate him but through who. This is where we take a critical look at.
Uriah for me turned down those opportunities because of his friends at the battle field. He said to himself, how can I go and enjoy with my wife whiles my co-brothers are on the battle field suffering. No I can’t do that. He refused and decided to return unto the battle field.
But the sad irony of the story was that, his brothers never had this same brotherly love in them. Though David have instructed that they should allow him to lead the war front and when it gets hard, they should leave him for him to die.
The truth is they left him and Uriah died. Instead of them helping him in times of his difficulties, they left him to die, this was a man who could have ignored them but he showed them love but they allowed him to die.
Though some might argue that, they were just following orders from the king.
Yes from the King but not from God. Most at times we turn to follow orders from people and commit lot of atrocities against our church members, leaders and our family members. Most at times we turn to hate our parents because of what a certain Pastor has said about them. Is really sad how we can hate people for what we’ve heard about them.
Remember the devil is roaring like a loin looking for someone to devour.. Someone who is alone, someone who has been left alone to suffer. Many people come to church with the hope of having a family reunion but it turn out to be otherwise. Is rather unfortunate this man who hold onto his integrity have to suffer because of his decision.
Joseph loved his brothers but hated him and sold him. As Christian’s, we must continue to be our brothers keepers and help them grow. Because when a mighty man falls, he sometimes falls with others too. Uriah didn’t die alone but he died with other soldiers as well.
May the good lord continue to help us to be his faithful servants.
May we have a very nice day today and beyond.
God bless us all.
