The message of forgiveness is a call to rise above the instinct of humans. When someone does all so wrong, then our reaction might be to retaliate.
But to go for half an eye or to go for revenge as expected.
But since we are called to a higher standard that we should forgive, we should not get angered easily. Tose are the things that are against us. This isn't just weakness, it's the divine strength. Matthew 14:15 teaches us that we must forgive others. This can open doors to forgive us. When we have all these things of forgiveness, we are trying to block God's message in our own life.
Everyone is taught to step up. We must learn how to practice the life of forgiveness. So that we can feel the love of God. In Ecclesiastes 7:20 reminds us that no one, not even the holiest, is perfect or without sin, except Jesus Christ. We all need to be able to forgive one another so that we must understand it.
Forgiving is not just easy. We have to understand. And so that the purpose is to make it possible. When we forgive, we are not just freeing ourselves. We are freeing others to receive God's mercy.
As the Bible has made an emphasis, When we learn to forgive, we are learning to love ourselves. We should embrace this very truth, knowing that when we forgive, God will also show us mercy and love us. And not abandon us from the faith.
