The sermon of Brother Eli on marriage, resurrection and God's understanding of our human nature was comforting.
This explains something many people struggle with, which is fear. The confusion or feeling guilty in marriage after the loss of spouse. So what stood out to me most is how to be reminded that God knows our frame, our weakness and the realities of human. And nothing surprises Him and nothing we experience is outside His compassion.
Brother Eli uses scripture, especially the passage where Jesus answers the tragedy. This gives us clarity. Like in the resurrection there is no more marriage, no rivalry, no jealousy. Only the existence, where we are, like the angels and fully children of God. This gives us the idea of earthly relationship, finding the final resolution and giving that eternal life, making it much easier. This explanation removes unnecessary fear.
A widow who remarries is not sinning and there is no conflict. Which is waiting in the afterlife. The design of God for resurrected life is different, peaceful and beyond earthly limitations. Overall this teaching brings reassurance.
God understands us and the plan for the resurrection which is filled with other.
Mercy and peace.
