We are giving a powerful message and deep insights. We were being reminded that no one pleases him God more than Jesus Christ which is his beloved son.
This example from Matthew 17:5 is the very striking one. Peter suggested, reading tabernacle from Moses, Elijah and Jesus, God's voice from heaven declared that, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. This underscores the unique and supreme delight God has in his son.
At the same time, the daily teaching is that God is also pleased with those who know him and understand his ways. Jeremiah 9:23-24, made it a fact that wisdom, strength and wisdom alone do not bring glory to God.
God delights in those who recognize that loving kindness and righteousness. There is a Hebrew word known as "kauphates", meaning to be "pleased with". This aligns that God takes joy in the heart which is aligned with the truth.
This teaching tells us to keep prioritizing relationship with God above all else and to seek understanding of that justice and love and righteousness. Pleasing God is not mainly about actions but it is about the heart that knows him.
